O Nations, Come near, to hear and Listen in Bible versus Quran (3)

This is the last article of the series (1-3):" O Nations, Come near, to hear and Listen in Bible versus Quran".

Herein are the summary of the statements that the Lord God Love wants all the nations to hear and to listen to.

In His Wrath against Nations and on His Judgment on the Nations, the Lord God Love: 1) He is angry with all nations, 2) His wrath is upon the armies of all nations, 3) He will totally destroy the armies of all nations, 4) He will give the armies of all nations over to slaughter, 5) The slain of all nations will be thrown out, 6) The dead bodies of all nations will send up a stench, 7) The mountains will be soaked with the blood of all nations, 8) The stars of the heavens will be dissolved, 9) The sky rolled up like a scroll, 10) The starry host will fall like withered leaves from the vine and like shriveled figs from the fig tree, 11) the Lord God' sword has drunk its fill in the heavens; it descends in judgment on Edom, 12) the Lord God' sword is bathed in blood and is covered with fat, 13) the Lord God has a sacrifice in Bozrah and a great slaughter in Edom, 14) Edom's land will be drenched with blood and Edom's dust will be soaked with fat, 15) the Lord God has a day of vengeance and a year of retribution, 6) Edom's streams will be turned into pitch and Edom's dust will become burning sulfur, 17) Edom's land will become blazing pitch that will not be quenched night and day; its smoke will rise forever, 18) From generation to generation Edom's land will lie desolate; no one will ever pass through it again.

In this article (3), the Lord God Love says:

Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail

Seek and read from the book of the LORD: Not one of these shall be missing

Herein, we have two important issues:

1)     "The book" of the LORD

2)     "These" (Not one of these shall be missing or fail).

1) With reference to; "The book" of the LORD; the question is:

Where in the Bible is the book of the Lord?

Where in the Bible is the book that is called the book of the Lord?

This is a very important question.

Quick glance about the books of the Bible:

How many books are in the Bible?
The Protestant Bible contains 66 books (39 OT, 27 NT);

The Catholic Bible contains 73 books (46 OT, 27 NT);

The Eastern Orthodox Bible contains 78 books (51 OT, 27 NT).

The Hebrew Bible contains only 24 books.

It is well known that each book in the Bible has a certain name e.g. the book of Psalms, the book of Isaiah etc.

However, there are many books that are Mentioned in the Bible as Biblical Books but they are missed or lost and we can not find them e.g.

  • The Book of the Wars of the LORD,
  • The book of Nathan the prophet,
  • The book of Jashar,
  • Etc.

The interested reader may find more details about the lost books of the Bible upon reading my article:

The Dozen Lost Books in the Bible versus Quran; array (85)

Back to "The book" of the LORD, is it lost too? Has it the same fate as do the other lost dozen books?

2) In reference to" These" (Not one of "these" shall be missing or fail).

These, herein, are referred to the Lord God's Prophecies about Edom.

Herein, the Lord God Love gives some more prophecies about Edom, they are:

The Lord God has given the Land of Edom for an inheritance to the beasts, the dragons, the great owl, the tree snake, the vultures, the hawks, the night monster, the desert creatures etc. Hence, Edom shall be desolate forever and ever.  None of the human being will pass through it forever and ever.  It is well known that this Prophecy never happened; and many people are still dwelling live without any problem(s) in Edom's land.

On the other hand, these are the statements that Allah wants all the nations to hear and to listen to

Allah said: O mankind!  We have created you male and female from Adam and Eve, and Allah has made you nations and tribes that you may know one another; to communicate and cooperate.   Lo! The noblest of you in the Hereafter, (in the sight of Allah; on the Day of Judgment, (is the best in conduct) in the life of the world.

Lo! Allah is Knower of your status and lineage, He is the Aware of your works and standing in His sight; Aware, of your inner thoughts.

In addition, Allah has no sword, He does not need a sword; He can do anything and everything whatever, wherever and whenever He wants without the need of a sword.

In addition, Edom land and such prophecies are not present therein in the Quran.

Furthermore, the Entire Quran is called the Book of Allah; and not one prophecy in the Quran is missing or fail.

O Nations, Come near, to hear and Listen in the Bible (3)

Isaiah 34:12-17

New International Version

12 Her nobles will have nothing there to be called a kingdom,  all her princes will vanish away.

13 Thorns will overrun her citadels, nettles and brambles her strongholds. She will become a haunt for jackals, a home for owls.

14 Desert creatures will meet with hyenas, and wild goats will bleat to each other; there the night creatures will also repose and find for themselves places of rest.

15 The owl will nest there and lay eggs, she will hatch them, and care for her young under the shadow of her wings;  there also the falcons will gather, each with its mate.

16 Look in the scroll of the LORD and read: None of these will be missing, not one will lack her mate. For it is his mouth that has given the order, and his Spirit will gather them together.

17 He allots their portions;  his hand distributes them by measure. They will possess it forever  and dwell there from generation to generation.

New American Standard Bible

12Its nobles--there is no one there Whom they may proclaim king--And all its princes will be nothing.

13Thorns will come up in its fortified towers, Nettles and thistles in its fortified cities; It will also be a haunt of jackals And an abode of ostriches.

14The desert creatures will meet with the wolves, The hairy goat also will cry to its kind; Yes, the night monster will settle there And will find herself a resting place.

15The tree snake will make its nest and lay eggs there, And it will hatch and gather them under its protection. Yes, the hawks will be gathered there, Every one with its kind.

16Seek from the book of the LORD, and read: Not one of these will be missing; None will lack its mate For His mouth has commanded, And His Spirit has gathered them.

17He has cast the lot for them, And His hand has divided it to them by line  They shall possess it forever; From generation to generation they will dwell in it.

English Standard Version

12Its nobles—there is no one there to call it a kingdom, and all its princes shall be nothing.

13 Thorns shall grow over its strongholds, nettles and thistles in its fortresses. It shall be the haunt of jackals, an abode for ostriches.

14 And wild animals shall meet with hyenas; the wild goat shall cry to his fellow; indeed, there the night bird settles and finds for herself a resting place.

15There the owl nests and lays and hatches and gathers her young in her shadow; indeed, there the hawks are gathered, each one with her mate.

16Seek and read from the book of the LORD: Not one of these shall be missing; none shall be without her mate. For the mouth of the LORD has commanded, and his Spirit has gathered them.

17 He has cast the lot for them; his hand has portioned it out to them with the line; they shall possess it forever; from generation to generation they shall dwell in it.

King James Version

12They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing.

13And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls.

14The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.

15There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate.

16Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

17And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.

O Nations, Come near, to hear; and Listen in the Quran (3)

Verse 49:13

QARIB:

People, we have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes that you might know one another. the noblest of you before Allah is the most righteous of you. Allah is the knower, the aware.

SHAKIR:

O you men! surely we have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other; surely the most honorable of you with Allah is the one among you most careful (of his duty); surely Allah is knowing, aware

PICKTHAL:

O mankind! lo! we have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. lo! Allah is knower, aware.

YUSUFALI:

O mankind! we created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. and Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things(.

The meaning of the verse:

It is said that this verse was revealed about Bilal, the muezzin of the Prophet.

The muezzin is the one who calls to prayers.

The call to prayer occurs five times a day.

Bilal was a black man; his faith was very strong and the Prophet Mohammad liked him very much and gave him the opportunity and the honor to be the muezzin of the Prophet.

When Bilal gave the call to prayer in Mecca after its conquest, a group of men said: "Did Allah and His Messenger not find anyone to call to prayer except this raven".

In response, Allah said: (O mankind!  We have created you male and female) from Adam and Eve, (and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! The noblest of you) in the Hereafter, (in the sight of Allah) on the Day of Judgment, (is the best in conduct) in the life of the world; which in this case is Bilal.

Lo! Allah is Knower of your status and lineage, He is the Aware of your works and standing in His sight; Aware, of your inner thoughts.

This was the message that the Quran wants the mankind and the nation to know and to hear.

This verse was the Key-stone that banned racism, color discrimination and any other form of discrimination.

Once Verse 49:13 has been revealed, All Muslims banned any other form of human discrimination.
